In this gallery I have included photographs largely from Snowdonia but as I have visited other places in Wales such as the Glamorgan Coast, Brecon Beacons and Anglesey they have also been included as they are also stunning places that should not be omitted.
Snowdonia National Park is a mountainous region in Wales and offers some of the most rugged landscapes and mountains south of the Scottish Border. I now live within a hour-and-a-half of Snowdonia and I love to regularly explore the mountains, preferring to be high up to capture the ruggedness of the area with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, when the weather allows!
It is also home to Britain’s Busiest Mountain, Snowdon. It is the highest mountain in England and Wales and offers many routes up, including a train that takes you to within feet of the summit! Despite Snowdon’s reputation for being busy, it real is a majestic mountain with plenty of routes away from the crowds. The horseshoe of Snowdon is a real mountain and is absolutely amazing for landscape photography, especially when staying up at sunset or you’re there for sunrise.
Did you know over half the residents that live in Snowdonia speak Welsh?
